Lapham's Quarterly for Summer, 2015 is devoted to philanthropy. Quite a wonderful compilation of humane learning. What would happen if all who write about impact investing or social capitalism, or metrics were willing to read this issue, take it to heart, and spend 10-20 years in meditation before re-entering the public sphere? I should take my own advice.
