Metrics and Subsidiarity

You can get better, be better. One more pushup. One more lap. Beat your best time. Do more, be more, for others; we have not got one dime to waste on programs and charities that accomplish little...... That toughness too can be an expression of love. Metrics can subordinate, but taught to those at the grassroots, it is teaching moral autonomy not merely a business ethic. Subsidarity. I learned that from Mario Marino, against the grain of my own thinking, and am grateful. If the meek are to inhert, and the last shall be first, they are going to need a well executed plan of attack, spiritually speaking. Where other than in Caesar's legion or among the makers of aqueducts and Coliseums learn how to heal the world?
