A thought-provoking jeremiad -- thanks for sharing this, Phil. I very much appreciated seeing the outlines of the emerging New World Order through the eyes of someone who understands the Indian context. Couldn't assess the truth of Roy's claims in that domain, but what she writes about the Philanthropic Industrial Complex and the NGOization of justice rings true. I recommended the article to many colleagues. One of the best I've read in a long time.

Thank you, Curator. As we reflect on the piece, and your friends do too, how much of these reflections can be made public, and how congruent are the private and public lucubrations? That gap or tension might help us assess the validity of the Jeremiad. The Colonnial Foundation program officer is himself or herself colonized internally. When the private story is whispered and the public story is heralded, and whisperer and the herald are the same, we can rightly claim that we have mastered ourselves for a higher purpose. Wealth Bondage Worldwide in my case.
