Kept staring at my shirtsleeves. I said, "You miss your Grandpappy?" He wasn't too articulate, like his record was stuck in a groove, so I smacked him, which got him looking on up the road, clear eyed and quiet like. With a clean windshield and a focus like that I figured he had a chance, anyhow.

Ask the wife, breadwinner, it's middlin hard for a man to jump some idjit groove.
