Not so much convincing, but deeply felt. You were wrestling with the issues within a particular worldview. The worldview is not the one I live within, but I recognize the depth and sincerity of your effort. The comments reflected that too. What I came away thinking was, "Let people give in whatever way they want. If calling it investing makes them feel less sheepish, I will call it investing too until they write the check."
