To Whom it May Concern
Gifthub is an immortal work of art in theMenippean Tradition, written in a Padded Cell (he calls it a Dumpster for obvious reasons) in a state of shock by Phil Cubeta, Morals Tutor to America's Wealthiest Families, under an alias, or alter ego, The Happy Tutor, Dungeon Master to the Stars in Wealth Bondage...... Quel surprise .. the interesting bit in Palast's story that I was not aware of was the purpose of Spitzer's recent trip to Washington DC.
At a minimum, anyone think the Feds weren't wiretapping Spitzer for reasons other than what they caught him on ?

I really am interested to see how Spitzer handles his fall. Will he slink away in shame, a broken man, or will he put his wealth and connections and inside knowledge to work bringing down those who brought him down? Yes, he is a sinner. Now lets see who else is.

Maybe he can friend Lord Black on Facebook, and they can discuss how they were unfairly framed ?
At the least, he seems more remorseful than Connie.

I would like them both as clients. Both could still do great good with proper Tutoring. We must not write off rich and powerful people for this or that moral failing. Their money is still good and their Lasting Legacy must be planned. Try, try again, must be our motto. The Lord welcomes the strayed sheep back into the fold. So, until these guys are broke, I would not kick them out of the Wealth Bondage Private Client Group.

That's what redemption is for, no ? It's effectively (almost) never too late.
Both clearly have great gifts, meant to be passed on to others.

Life has a way of educating us, doesn't it? I find it hard to feel superior to those who are brought low. The moralizing part should be directed not at those who are no longer able to defend themselves, but against those who have every defense, every power, every ally, and every ability to retaliate mightily. To pile on Conrad or Eliot after they are rendered defenseless is not very inspiring. Think of all the rich and powerful people who vanity is evident in every day life, and yet how they are courted and feted and cajoled. Then, bam, misfortune befalls them or hidden sins are outed, and bam those who lackeyed them are first to point the finger.
