From Goldman Sachs: "Through Goldman Sachs
Gives, the firm's partners have agreed
to commit a part of their overall compensation to charitable
organizations." Matching grants for employee contributions up to $20,000. Per the NY Times, "In 2006 Goldman made $9.4 billion in profit; for the first nine months of 2007, it earned $8.2 billion....Through the third quarter, Goldman accrued almost $17 billion in compensation." I wonder if Goldman would hire me as a Morals Tutor to help their employees and partners do well while doing good? I would take vacation, actually, fly to New York at my own expense, and do it pro bono publico in return for a guarantee of safe passage. I would be the only Fool in the room. Or, maybe the only Rogue. Each employee could choose Secular or Religious Morals Tutorials. I can go both ways. I will measure and manage results too. Either they are better people or I will come back and give them another beating for nothing. Repeat as needed. Never a charge for the salt rubbed in the wound. It is all free in the spirit of charity.
