Giving More than Money - The Role of Whistleblower

As a longtime attorney at the U.S. Department of Justice, I can honestly say that I have never been as ashamed of the department and government that I serve as I am at this time.  - John Koppel, 25 year veteren of the Justice Department.

The comments on the article get into the question of what price John Koppel may pay for going public with his indignation.  Whistleblowers are not philanthropists, I guess, but they may sacrifice more for an ideal than do most givers.
