I read that the 200 richest people in the world have a combined wealth greater than the GDP of each country in the world except for five. We may have Plutocrats and Oligarchs aplenty, Sam, but we will never have an Aristocracy until we revive the Role of the Fool. To our Lords and Ladies, I will say: In every gathering of the High and Mighty, there are Fools. Unless you hire a professional Fool, you end of playing the role yourself. As in King Lear power and sycophants will drive you crazy unless a Fool keeps you honest. Even then, I make no guarantee.
