In the aftermath of the Gates Foundation investment story, Lucy Bernholz has a poll up on foundation investment policies - to what extent should financial and also social return on investment be considered in managing the corpus? What was not included in her list of options were program related investments. I would be interested in Lucy's own thoughts on how those might be used to spur innovation in the citizen sector.
