Bridgespan has relaunched its already remarkable website, to bring together its resources for philanthropists, nonprofits, and nonprofit leaders. A theme is philanthropy and leadership in a time of austerity. Shape up, or die off, is not how they put it, but that is the reality for many nonprofits. As the the bottom of the pyramid broadens, and sinks, and as the facilities providing care to the indigent close up shop, I hope we keep alive the spirit of love. I just do not want to die alone, as a statistic.
