The Wealth Bondage Foundation for Justice, Peace, and Harmony on Earth

Thank God it was only a dream! I was working as a grantmaker in The Wealth Bondage Foundation for the Poor. I was called into my boss's office. Candidia was furious and stomping about in her big black boots.

Phil, you are an irresponsible, arrogant, idiot. You know we are here to serve the poor. It says so in black and white in our founding documents. That is why we get tax benefits. We serve social needs. That is our legal obligation as stewards and fiduciaries of a public trust. Got that? Well, yesterday at the Board meeting, the Board Chair and one of our best funders, came up to me and says that he had gotten a complaint from one of our grantees, a store front ministry in Detrioit. Seems you had treated them with cavaliere discourtesy. What gives? Who do you think you work for? Have you ever read the Bible? "The last shall be first." "The meek shall inherit the earth." Is that not clear to you? You offend our poorest client one more time and I will impale your head on a spike on the iron railing around this building.

Then the alarm went off and I returned to reality, thank God! Now I can go back to work on metrics.
